Being here in Yerevan, we all know that our time is going to end sooner or later. You can't be a Birthright volunteer forever. But what was different about our crop of volunteers is that we all arrived around the same time, so we experienced the same things all together- and now we're leaving all around the same time. The first one of us heading back to reality is Melody. Being the true Armenians that we now are, of course we had to have the requisite goodbye party. We had a great time, but it was really sad saying goodbye (the good thing is that most of us are from LA, so it isn't goodbye so much as see you soon).
The place we chose was called 7 Kadr, a really cool outdoor cafe (they are popping up like mushrooms all over the place now) that has pictures of Hollywood celebs all around it. See, even Hollywood exists in Yerevan....
Have a safe flight Melody, and I will see you back home!!
(Images from top: The exterior of 7 Kadr- looks like an oscar party with balloons and everything, our group amidst the celebs, some of the other patrons, Armen Natsha Hrair and Ani, having fun but still serious, getting seriously wacky, chocolate ice cream and a mojito- what else could I possibly ask for, Mel and I).
