I've learned a lot of new things here in Armenia- like the fact that we have our own version of Stonehenge called Karahunj. Who would have thought? The real explanation behind the creation of it is still disputed, but historians think that the rocks formed a type of makeshift observatory. Estimates for its age range from 3000 to 7000 years old. It's a really interesting sight to see. The rocks are located in a massive valley, surrounded by mountains on all sides.
As for the wild tulips, they dot the Armenian countryside right outside of Yerevan. When driving through the fields, they look like stretches of red paint poured over the grass. You always imagine running through a field (at least you imagine it if you ever think about being in the country), picking flowers and just being at one with nature...Well, I got to do that. Diana and nature have started to like each other. I literally ran through the field and picked flowers. It was so cool! That's just the most appropriate word to describe it- cool.
(Images from top: The stones of Karahunj are taller than Mikhael, yours truly amidst the rocks, more stones, look at those amazing tulips, yours truly and the tulip men, our driver Vahram modeling the tulip I gave him, more tulips, Birthrighter's among the flowers, yours truly running through the field)!!
